The Council for World Mission (CWM) is pleased to welcome Dr Alison Gray as its new Mission Secretary for Discipleship and Dialogue and the Europe region, effective 21 September 2026.
Gray succeeds Rev. Dr Graham McGeoch and brings extensive experience in theological education, discipleship, leadership development, and ministry formation.
An elder and lay preacher in the United Reformed Church (URC) in the United Kingdom, Gray has served for the past 12 years in the Cambridge Theological Federation as a tutor and director of studies. Before entering theological education, she worked as a secondary school teacher.
In her current role at Westminster College, a Resource Centre for Learning of the URC, Gray has helped design and deliver programmes for local churches and synods, with a particular focus on discipleship, leadership development, and community engagement. She has also contributed to preparing and equipping people for lay and ordained ministries.
Drawing on these experiences, Gray looks forward to contributing to planning, coordination, and continued development of CWM programmes that deepen discipleship and dialogue, strengthen global partnerships, and contribute to life-flourishing communities.
