The Peace Building and Transformative Community Development Programme seeks to translate CWMs central mission goals into practical and action-oriented mission driven and theologically rooted programmes that are intersectional in nature. The focus is on glocal peacebuilding in such a way as to address the realities of living under Empire in a time of no peace and no justice for people or planet.
The programme foregrounds peace building and community development as intrinsically missional.
Embracing the inseparable relationship between the local-regional and global context and enlivened by the vision and call for peace building the healing of the nations for full life for all, member churches will be creatively and fully involved in action, advocacy, and witness on local, regional and global levels while seeking to contribute to sustainable community development in their specific context as imperative dimension of mission and the missio dei.
