Face 2 Face 2025 Call for Applications: Interfaith Harmony – Promoting Peaceful Communities

The Council for World Mission (CWM) is now inviting applications for Face2Face 2025. The programme will be themed “Interfaith Harmony – Promoting Peaceful Communities”.

Held in the India Peace Centre, Nagpur, New Delhi from 2 October to 2 November 2025, the four-week programme will invite participants into a unique space of sharing while featuring a three-pronged pedagogical approach:

  • Students will share with each other their different contexts.
  • Students will engage with local Indian communities in all their religious diversity.
  • Students will reflect together on examples of life flourishing and promoting peaceful communities.

With a renewed focus on public good (or common good) and drawing on Rabindranath Tagore’s concepts on cosmopolitanism, interconnectedness and pluralism, Face 2 Face invites religious and civilisational traditions to share their visions for the fostering of life flourishing communities.

The programme will also recognise the spiritual yearnings of young people and invites students to explore those yearnings together and in dialogue with different religious traditions. India, as one of the great civilisations and home to a plurality of the world’s religions, offers a unique insight and contribution to human quests for life flourishing.

Who should apply?

Face 2 Face is open to students of theology from CWM member churches and ecumenical partners. The student must be a lay person (i.e not an ordained minister or pastor and preferably under 30 years old). CWM is mindful of gender balance on all its global programmes.
