An expansive experience for young people: CWM internship programme 2026

Applications are now open for the Council for World Mission (CWM) internship programme 2026, a six- to 12-month immersive opportunity for young adults seeking to explore faith, leadership, and mission within a global and intercultural context.

Designed for young adults ages 21 to 30, the programme offers hands-on experience working alongside CWM teams, supported by mentoring and a structured workplan. Interns will have the opportunity to grow professionally and spiritually while contributing meaningfully to CWM’s global mission.

Internship placements for 2026

Interns will be placed in one of CWM’s two international offices, each with a distinct thematic focus.

Singapore office

  • Engagement with mission programmes, partnerships, and global ecumenical advocacy
  • Exposure to global programme coordination, research, and communications

Johannesburg office

  • Work alongside the Life-flourishing Creation and Economy programme team, focusing on economic justice, ecological crisis, and social transformation in Africa and beyond
  • Hands-on involvement in research, campaign support, and regional church engagement
  • Priority given to candidates with an interest or background in finance, accounting, or administrative work

Who can apply

  • Young adults aged 21 to 30
