UPCSA welcomes new intern for 2026

The Uniting Presbyterian Church in Southern Africa (UPCSA) is pleased to introduce Mandisa Nomafanelo Mbatha as an intern for 2026. Mbatha began her internship on 2 March and will serve until the end of the year.

Describing her internship as a new chapter in her life, Mbatha, who worships at St Marks Presbyterian Church in Daveyton within the Presbytery of Highveld, quoted Isaiah 43:19 as her inspiration for the days ahead.

“I am rooted in faith, and love growth, laughter, and flowers. As a soft and easygoing individual, I enjoy trying new things and meeting people. My focus is on growing closer to God and living a vibrant life,” said Mbatha.

This internship forms part of UPCSA’s intentional programme of leadership development and ministry formation. It provides an opportunity for practical exposure to the structures, governance, and mission work of the denomination, while deepening spiritual growth and vocational discernment.

Through the programme, interns engage with various ministries and administrative responsibilities within the church, gaining experience in ecclesial processes, communication, programme coordination, and service to presbyteries and congregations.
