Pilgrims at start of the journey from Salisbury Park URC in Wrexham

Every Saturday, pilgrims from the United Reformed Church (URC) churches along the North Wales coast meet for a time of prayer and travel to a participating URC church as part of a pilgrimage to mark URC’s Jubilee.

Intended to maximise ministry for mission, a regional consultative group in North Wales that represents 12 churches had initiated this programme to connect the churches stretched out along the North Wales coast physically, celebrate URC’s past and seek God’s direction for the future.

The pilgrimage had started at Salisbury Park URC in Wrexham on 23 July, and will end at St Paul’s United Church in Penmaenmawr on 1 October, the day of URC’s 50th Anniversary Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving at Methodist Central Hall Westminster, London, where the Uniting Assembly of the URC took place in 1972.
