After a lengthy process of reorganising some of the Union of Welsh Independents (UWI) funds for contemporary use, churches which meet membership criteria can now tap on a funding opportunity to invest in their future. Sums of up to £50,000 are offered to help the churches venture into innovative ways of evangelism and serving their communities.
Examples of possible applications include securing and promoting ministry in areas with very few ministers, securing a specialist carer or nurse service for Dementia Coffee Morning, and for media training to help churches go digital.
