The European and Caribbean regions of CWM met in Reading UK last week for the second NIFEA colloquium to share and develop ideas for actions in the next phase of the New International Financial and Economic Architecture (NIFEA). Each member church shared about the work that had been done since the first NIFEA meeting in January and at the end of the Reading NIFEA, presented their plans for the future.

The NIFEA colloquium explored alternatives economies, ethical investment and social financing. On an exposure visit to Park United Reformed Church, Reading, there was an opportunity to explore the environmental work the church had completed; to engage with a project exploring releasing church buildings to build community capital and the work of the Arthur Rank Centre in promoting rural enterprise.

The accompanying video, which includes footage of the Reading NIFEA, explains the NIFEA programme and how it is working in the European and Caribbean members of CWM.
