It is present in our political, economic, ecological, social, legal, religious, personal, relational, biological, sexual, spiritual lives. The culture of Empire is oppressive and destructive. Some of the outcomes of Empire’s power and presence in our lives include economic injustice, climate change, patriarchy, conflict and xenophobia. As we become alert to the concept of Empire, we will start to glimpse it in our own context and communities.
