United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands (UCJCI) minister, Rev Dr Roderick Hewitt, became the President of the International University of the Caribbean (IUC) beginning September 1st. He arrived in IUC having served in academia both locally and internationally and holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Systematic Theology from King’s College, London. Dr Hewitt believes that in this Fourth Industrial Revolution, they have to think outside of the box to ensure progress, and IUC and its leaders must rediscover national trust, the trust of every local church including the ecumenical space and the trust of the workers of the institution.
Dr Hewitt is also a member of CWM’s Strategic Planning Group.
