CWM Workshop at WCC 11th Assembly

by CWM Communications Team

Council for World Mission (CWM) member churches are encouraged to send participants to register for its Workshop at the World Council of Churches (WCC) 11th Assembly in Karlsruhe, Germany on 1 September 2022, where CWM will be introducing key elements in its mission theology for 2020-2029.

With this mission theology as a rallying call to radical discipleship under the slogan “Rising to Life: Breaking out from Babylon”, the 75-minute CWM workshop covers key themes such as “Confessing Witness”, “Life-flourishing Community, and “Rising to Life”. In its engagement with mission from the margins, participants will also hear about CWM’s work on addressing racism, making reparation and targeting modern-slavery through “The Onesimus Project”.

In addition, it allows CWM to share its theological reflection and practical examples of the work it is doing and to invite input into shaping the work it needs to do. Emerging scholars supported by CWM will be able to use this platform to bring input from CWM member churches on their work and perspectives in these areas.

The workshop will be conducted in English from 5:00pm-6:15pm.
