Being part of World Interfaith Harmony Week

by CWM Communications Team

The United Nations (UN) World Interfaith Harmony Week falls on this week, a time to spread the message of harmony and tolerance among people of all religions and beliefs. Based on a common “Love of God and Love of the Neighbour”, it aims to harness places of worship, or religious infrastructure for peace and goodwill, co-ordinating and uniting positive efforts of interfaith groups. The initiative is also a vehicle for the silent majority of preachers to declare themselves for peace and harmony.

At the grassroots level, people are encouraged to organise activities such as harmony breakfasts, joint community work or interfaith declarations, and discussions on making places of worship environmentally friendly. These activities can be submitted to an online portal, appearing in a main calendar of such events worldwide. Click to find out how you can participate: https://worldinterfaithharmonyweek.com
