URC to energise members with uplifting weekend
Thursday, 04 June 2009 14:49
Worshippers from the United Reformed church will be raising the church roof for an uplifting service being held as part of a new energy-focused initiative.
Organised by URC church leaders, the Energy4life initiative will see members taking part in a celebratory and energising Sunday morning celebration at Loughborough United Reformed Church on 12 July.
Church leaders want to see as many members as possible at the event.
Revd Terry Oakley, Moderator of the East Midlands Synod of the United Reformed Church said: "It will be an exciting and uplifting experience, in which we will show how good we can be at being the church at worship - and the church engaged in the world.
"We offer an invitation to anyone who wishes to come, to share in this occasion, which is for the whole United Reformed Church."
