Christians in Taiwan are becoming Good Samaritans ahead of Easter by donating used toys to poverty-stricken children.

Backed by the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan and set up by the Chinese Christian Relief Association, the scheme encourages families to support struggling local communities.

Known as the "Good Samaritan Movement", it's also working towards helping churches set up after-school tutoring and reading programmes for disadvantaged children.

With the help of the local church community, the relief association is aiming to help fund 86 after-school classes before the end of August this year and reach 1,300 children.
