Ecumenical panel releases joint statement on alternative financial and economic architecture

Shaking up the international financial architecture and infrastructure. This was the clarion call sounded by CWM, together with the World Council of Churches, World Communion of Reformed Churches and the Lutheran World Federation on the occasion of the third United Nations Financing for Development Forum held in New York last month.

The collective also shared their theological critique of this NIFEA process and called for greater awareness and action on current economic systems that pursue profit at the expense of humanity and the earth.
