Africa region
The Africa region has over the last three years developed work around four Mission Priority Areas:
- Children and Youth
- Community of Women and Men in partnership in Mission
- Economic Justice
- Healthy Christian Living
Some of the 2009 highlights on the above areas have been: The development of Children and Youth materials (to be completed); The introduction of a two week Discovery Youth Programme for 18-20yr olds; discussion around the importance of a Healthy Christian Lifestyle, the rediscovery of indigenous medicines and remedies and the growth of organic foods.

Churches of Christ in Malawi
Malawi is deeply in debt. There are high numbers of people with HIV/AIDS, and food production is hampered by frequent drought. The church supports Malawians with drought-relief and income-generating craft and woodwork projects.

United Congregational Church of Southern Africa
The UCCSA has congregations in Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe. It works to combat violence, crime and poverty and addresses HIV/AIDS.

Uniting Presbyterian Church in Southern Africa
The UPCSA seeks to be one in obedience to the Lord, in celebrating diversity including its own cultural diversity, in addressing injustices and poverty and in providing a model of racial reconciliation. It is striving to prioritise evangelism, stewardship and its response to HIV/AIDS, focusing on widows and orphans

United Church of Zambia
The UCZ is a growing church with congregations spread as far as the Democratic Republic of Congo and Malawi. It is concerned with issues of AIDS, increasing school drop-out rate, street youth, inflation, unemployment, delinquency and international debt.

Church of Jesus Christ in Madagascar
Much of Madagascar suffers poverty and unemployment, and the FJKM is seeking to respond to these problems. It runs 450 schools and recently began a project to fight bribery, HIV/AIDS and poverty.
